SASSA Takes Expert Services to Fernie Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions for the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering expert services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency mentioned it can be alarmed about the large amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The intention with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the superior range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no entirely functional office committed to service the area on a regular basis. The support point created for intervention activities a substantial influx of opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it tough for that office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra assets to permit the servicing of all consumers and raise usage of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
